ABOUT VIOLET COMPASS

This is a new firm. Its track record is not.

Violet Compass brings more than 25 years of experience across operations, strategy, and governance to the quiet gap between the direction an organization sets and what actually happens next.

THE PATTERN UNDERNEATH THE WORK

Strategy, operations, governance and inclusive culture kept leading back to the same question.

Does what this organization says matters actually match what it rewards, measures and does every day?

Our founder encountered different versions of that question across operations, strategic planning, organizational governance and equity work.

A leadership team believed its direction was clear. Employees were working from several different interpretations.

A board received strong reports. The people closest to the work could see risks those reports never captured.

An organization made a serious equity commitment. Its budgets, meetings and decision-making processes carried on as though nothing had changed.

These were rarely separate problems. They were different signs of the same underlying gap: the systems guiding everyday decisions had disconnected from the direction leadership believed it had set.

Violet Compass was built to help organizations see that gap clearly and do something useful with what they find.

25+ YEARS. OPERATIONS, STRATEGY, GOVERNANCE.

Nadi Fantastic, Founder

Nadi Fantastic brings more than 25 years of experience across operations, strategy, communications and governance. That experience was built inside organizations—not only advising from the outside, but implementing decisions and remaining accountable for what happened next.

Nadi also brings eight years of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion consulting across Canadian and US markets. As an Afro-Indigenous practitioner who has developed Indigenous cultural safety programming, Nadi brings both lived and professional experience to questions of evidence, engagement, power and accountability.

Violet Compass combines formal organizational methods with judgment grounded in how those methods behave in practice.

DATA OVER DRAMA

Most organizational dysfunction is not caused by one careless person or one obviously bad decision.

It develops through systems.

Priorities multiply. Information gets filtered as it moves upward. Teams solve for what is directly in front of them. Measures remain in place long after anyone remembers why they were chosen. Reasonable decisions accumulate in a direction nobody intended.

Violet Compass names those patterns directly.

“This organization is firefighting and calling it strategy” is blunt. It is also specific, structural and fixable.

That is different from blaming a leadership team or treating employees as the source of the problem.

We lead with evidence because it gives people something real to work with. That evidence may come from organizational data, stakeholder interviews, employee experience, community knowledge, governance records or the gaps between them.

The goal is not to produce a dramatic finding.

It is to give the organization a clear enough understanding of itself to make a better decision.

We name what is actually happening. We don’t make it personal.
